Embark on the ultimate Himalayan adventure with the Mera Peak Climbing and Amalapcha Pass expedition, a thrilling journey that combines two iconic climbing peaks in Nepal. The Amalapcha Pass, an integral part of the Great Himalaya Trail (GHT), connects the Makalu and Everest Regions, providing a high-altitude experience like no other. This trip is designed for climbers with previous high-altitude climbing experience, as crossing the technically challenging Amalapcha Pass is no small feat.
Our adventure begins by departing from the bustling Everest Base Camp trail, heading south from Lukla airport. We start with Mera Peak, considered the easier of the two, allowing ample time for acclimatization and building confidence in your climbing skills. Although accommodations in teahouses along the Mera Peak route may be basic, the breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu from the summit more than compensate for any minor discomfort. After conquering Mera Peak and crossing the Amalapcha Pass, we enter the Everest Region via Chukung, eventually reaching Island Peak. Upon successfully ascending Island Peak, We descend down to Lukla through Dingboche, Pangboche, Tengboche and Namche Village. You have also option to extend your journey towards Everest Base Camp, Chola pass Gokyo Ri-.
The ideal seasons for this adventure are April and May or October and November, ensuring optimal weather conditions for a successful and unforgettable expedition.

The day you've been waiting for arrives. Begin your ascent to the summit of Mera Peak.
Take in the awe-inspiring views from the top, including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.
Descend back to Mera High Camp. After having rest, further descend down to Khongma Dingma for overnight.

From Seto Pokhari, we continue our journey and pass by many beautiful lakes in the upper Hunku Basin. Walking past Hunku Pokhari, we'll be walking next to the stunning Hunku Glacier. We keep moving forward with another lake nearby along our path to arrive Amphu Labcha Base Camp. Overnight at guest house.
Embark on a challenging journey to cross the stunning Amalapcha Pass.
Enjoy breathtaking vistas as you traverse the pass.Descend to Hongu Valley and camp near the pristine lakes. Explore the beauty of the Imja Valley and its panoramic views. Overnight at guest house.
After breakfast hike towards Island Peak Base camp, A pleasant and comparatively comfortable journey which takes about 4 hours. Overnight at tent camp.
Start very early towards the summit with proper preparation. Enjoy mesmerizing view from the top and descend down to Island Peak Base Camp. Depending on your fitness, you can even come back to Chhukung. Overnight at tent Camp.
Descend down to pangboche village , a pleasant walk through Dingboche and Somare village following towering Thamserku and Kantega Mountain. Overnight at guest house.
After having breakfast, we commence our descent towards Namche Bazaar. Along the way, we come across the beautiful village Tengboche where we can observe famous Tengboche monastery. Our path meanders through picturesque villages, green meadows, and crosses several bridges before finally arriving at Namche Bazaar. Over night in Namche Bazaar.
Begin the journey back towards Lukla via Monjo, Bengkar and Phakding.
Reflect on your incredible adventure as you descend. Overnight at guest house.
Fly back to Kathmandu. Enjoy your last moments in Nepal's capital.
An extra day in Kathmandu. You may enjoy it exploreing ancient Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Hotel.
